All substrates

The Clean Room range from Libert Paints offers a suitable coating for every kind of substrate.

For walls and ceilings, that means AQUAPOX, a two-component, water-soluble epoxy which guarantees excellent chemical resistance thanks to its bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties. Aquapox has been tested and approved by Labo Van Vooren in accordance with standard NBN S29-002. Aquapox has been used in many different applications in hospitals, in the pharmaceutical industry, a nuclear power supply company, etc. In short, in areas where a 100% clean environment is required.

OXYPAINT SL FLOOR can be used for floors. This glossy, solvent-free epoxy floor coating is used in the care sector because of its superior chemical resistance.

Interior woodwork in clean rooms can be painted with RESOPRIM AQUA. This water-based, acrylate-polyurethane primer is characterised by its excellent adhesion. With its satin finish, the final coat is called SATILUX AQUA. This is a water-based, silky satin acrylate-polyurethane paint which flows well, and is highly scratch-resistant and UV resistant.

Another commonly-used paint combination is AQUABOND/AQUAPOX. The Aquabond adhesive layer is a top-quality, water-based two-component epoxy which adheres well to mineral substrates and guarantees excellent flow and elasticity. Here too, Aquapox is frequently chosen for use in clean rooms because of its bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties, and superior chemical resistance.

It is also important to note that all clean room coatings are available in all colours, thanks to our colour-mixing system.

Testing

This test was used for Aquapox and Oxypaint SL Floor. The test simulates typical exposure conditions in an indoor environment.  Thirty cycles of hydrogen-peroxide gas generation were used on 4 samples; none of them showed any adverse effects. It can therefore be concluded that Aquapox and Oxypaint SL Floor are compatible with this method of bio-decontamination.
